I am a theatre artist with over 19 years of experience in the performing arts, with multiple productions under my belt as an actor, director, producer, and theatre teacher. In recognition of my contributions to the arts and the artistic community, the UAE Government awarded me the prestigious Golden Visa. I received the Best Director Award for my debut full-length production of Agnes (Agnes of God by John Pielmeier) in 2017 and was the Best Actor runner-up at the Alex Broun Festival in 2016.
After balancing an 18-year corporate career in Removals and Relocations with my passion for theatre, I transitioned full-time into the arts, managing a theatre and organizing multiple successful festivals and events over the last several years. I am the founder and festival director of Theme8, a short play and short film festival known for its competitive and thematic approach.
As a theatre teacher, I believe in building artists who understand all elements of theatre and theatrical productions. Through my classes and workshops for acting and directing, I have put up multiple student productions on stage.
Beyond theatre, I am a poet in English, Hindi, and Urdu, and an avid reader with a deep interest in philosophy, photography, painting, and filmmaking. I am also committed to social causes aimed at empowering women and marginalized communities through my work and advocacy.
While I have written poetry for close to three decades, I recently ventured into creative writing, penning several short plays and stories. In 2024, I became a published author with my debut novel, Kehkashan, a women's fiction about heartbreak and healing.

Thought of all the words to write to you last nite when I rushed home but thought that's a busy time for you
Thank you for Night, Mother For being bold enough to bring such a sensitive topic to a stage in a place where people cringe at anything that's emotional or sensitive
No one could have done this but you
And the act, in itself was compelling, the performances so real, this wasn't a play, it was someone or rather many whose lives were laid in front of us in all honesty and reality
Thank you for it

Sabiha & Meghana were WORLD CLASS today. The chemistry was so natural and it did not feel like for a moment they were acting because they both lived every second on stage. The set was great, complimenting the performance! The emotions were so well crafted with occasional humour along with the portrayal of conflict.

In the one hour and 20 minutes of the play, there was not one moment when I felt disconnected from it. The two actors stayed in character, revealing to us the contradictory and emotionally chaotic world of people suffering from mental illness. The agony, distress, conflict and confusion were marvellously conveyed by Sabiha and Meghana.

Very very well done both u rockstars !! Sabiha Majgaonkar & Meghana Mundkur !! You both made it your world and us a part of that night..
Loved the play - the grip - the balance of so many emotions - humour - love - loneliness - a very deep depression- the set - aesthetics - all fell into place so well!
Hope as many come to see this one and enjoy your masterful craft !

Both your performances were great, measured and consistent with the style of writing. Both portrayals were believable and engaging.
To that, I would add that you both balanced the humour and tragedy deftly. The way that you ramped up the tension at the end was gut wrenching.
Congratulations!

If you're not attending this production Night, Mother, you're doing something absolutely terrible with your life.
This one was a strong one, both professionally and personally being able to witness the impact of depression was truly an opportunity for reflection. These two phenomenal actors Sabiha Majgaonkar and Meghana Mundkur elevated this entire piece, leaving the audience absolutely speechless and possibly overwhelmed. Thank you, Mama and Jessy, for this production, and showing us how there exists a thin line between asking someone struggling to stay when they just want to leave, in this poignant way. Brilliant acting, structured sets, and a remarkable flow. Amazing job to the entire production team, assistant director, actors and of course the director herself.

Thank you Team Agnes for putting up such an outstanding, phenomenal and scintillating performance on stage. Although, I am finding it hard to find the right adjectives to describe the experience but I was blown away with the intensity of the actors who brought a brilliant script to life with their sheer talent. Kudos to an All-star Team Agnes, you all are the true Power Puff Girls of the theater. 🙂
Sabiha Majgaonkar I am all praise for you and your squad. Thank you
